Connect Staffing is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for a warehouse facility in Houston, TX. This is a temp position paying $18.00–$20.00/hr. In this role, you will verify incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, and purchase orders, and upload receiving documents to accounting folders daily.

Responsibilities

• Compare identifying information on incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, and purchase orders to confirm accuracy.
• Count, weigh, or measure shipment items to verify quantities and weights.
• Receive purchase orders from vendors and upload documents into designated accounting folders daily.
• Inspect product output to confirm it meets established quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in the shipping and receiving zone.
• Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse clerk role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience reading and processing bills of lading, purchase orders, and shipping invoices.
• Familiarity with uploading and organizing documents in accounting or ERP systems.
• Basic math skills for counting, weighing, and reconciling shipment quantities.
• Experience working in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or regulated warehouse environment.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) or document management software.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
