Senior Accountant

Lead inventory accounting processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls Prepare and analyze inventory reports, identifying trends and variances Perform accrual-based P&L reconciliations and monthly fluctuation analyses Collaborate with operations and finance teams to align cost accounting and inventory valuation practices Manage sales tax filings and ensure compliance with state and local tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions Reconcile sales tax accounts and resolve discrepancies Support monthly and annual close processes with timely and accurate reporting Provide documentation for internal and external audits Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required) Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on inventory, retail operations, and sales tax compliance Experience in multi-unit retail environments ($100M+ revenue preferred) Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP systems; Mi9 experience is a plus Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis) Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and sales tax regulations High integrity, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills CPA or CPA track preferred Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in inventory accounting processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls, while effectively managing sales tax compliance and reporting.
