Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Access Control in West Des Moines, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a financial institution, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, respond to security-related incidents, and maintain a visible presence that helps deter potential concerns. Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $23.90 / Hour Job Schedule DayTime Mon 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Tue 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Thur 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a financial services location. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points, verify authorized personnel and visitor entry, and report suspicious activity or policy violations through established channels. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate. Maintain required certifications and follow applicable laws, client requirements, and Allied Universal policies for the authorized carry and handling of assigned equipment. Minimum Requirements A Concealed Carry Weapons Permit is required. Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred. Alarm Panel Experience is preferred. A Valid Firearms Permit is preferred. CPR/First Aid is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
