Work Environment

You will work in a bustling hospital setting that fosters a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Your regular work hours will be Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing ample opportunity to engage with a wide variety of patients and collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.
• Deliver hands-on therapy, including a variety of therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modalities, ensuring that all treatment protocols are followed accurately.
• Monitor patient progress closely and maintain detailed documentation, adjusting treatment strategies as needed based on patient response and instructional feedback from your supervising therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on effective exercise techniques and self-management strategies to promote safe and effective recovery.
• Engage with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, participating in regular meetings to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for each patient.
• Uphold the highest standards of patient record-keeping, ensuring accurate documentation aligns with both regulatory requirements and best practices in care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our orthopedic clinic serves a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will work closely with patients to provide support and coaching throughout their rehabilitation journeys, striving to enhance their physical capabilities and quality of life. Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of post-graduate work experience in an orthopedic setting is required.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• Current and active PTA state license to practice in New York.
• Solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to ensure competency in patient care.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) and patient management systems.
• Certification in specific therapeutic modalities is advantageous.
• Previous work experience in a hospital setting will be considered a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
