Crossroad Pain and Orthopedics is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our specialized orthopedic team in Albany, New York. Work Environment

The NP will work in our hospital setting that emphasizes teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration under the leadership of the Chief Nurse Practitioner and the Medical Director. You will collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, fellow nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and support staff, creating a holistic care approach tailored to each patient’s needs. Our work hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance with no calls, nights, or weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations to assess orthopedic and related health conditions.
• Participate in the management of chronic health issues like hypertension and high cholesterol, developing treatment plans that align with best practices.
• Offer specialized outpatient Electrophysiology services, including the care of patients experiencing abnormal arrhythmias and those requiring device management.
• Manage acute medical conditions such as Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and Stroke/Transient Ischemic Attack.
• Administer Stress Testing and interpret results within outpatient settings.
• Provide patient education tailored to individual needs and conditions, ensuring they understand their treatment plans and lifestyle adjustments needed.
• Prescribe medications as per established medical protocols or direct guidance from supervising physicians.
• Facilitate referrals to specialists within the orthopedic group when necessary to enhance patient care.
• Engage in discussions with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to tailor individualized care processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will focus primarily on an outpatient population, providing care to diverse patients dealing with orthopedic issues, as well as cardiovascular and related health concerns. You will have the opportunity to positively impact patients' recovery journeys and quality of life by offering comprehensive care plans and educational support.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, with a Master’s or Doctoral degree preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with active certification in the relevant specialty.
• A valid Nurse Practitioner license to practice in New York state.
• Possessing strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and a passion for orthopedics.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome applications from newly graduated Nurse Practitioners, candidates with prior experience in orthopedic care, acute or outpatient settings, will be given preference. Additional experience with pain management, cardiac evaluations, and interdisciplinary collaboration is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
