Key Responsibilities

• Administer appropriate pain management strategies, including medication management and alternative therapies such as physical exercises and cognitive behavioral techniques.
• Monitor patient responses to treatments, adjust plans as needed, and document progress in our electronic health record system to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families about pain management options, preventive health strategies, and healthy lifestyle choices that can mitigate pain symptoms.
• Provide counseling and emotional support to help patients cope with the implications of chronic pain on their daily lives and academic performances.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a related healthcare environment, preferably in pain management or a similar clinical field.
• Demonstrated competency in assessment and treatment planning for chronic pain patients.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, essential for working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
