Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with pain disorders, including detailed medical histories, physical examinations, and necessary diagnostic evaluations to formulate tailored treatment strategies.
• Deliver patient-centered care by developing and implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of attending physicians, ensuring alignment with the latest clinical guidelines.
• Perform procedures within the realm of pain management, such as joint injections or nerve blocks, while adhering to safety standards and protocols.
• Maintain meticulous, up-to-date medical documentation that includes patient encounters, treatment modalities, and follow-up plans in compliance with legal and institutional requirements.
• Partner with patients to provide education on their specific conditions, discussing treatment options and promoting lifestyle modifications that can enhance their quality of life and foster compliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program and current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• A valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York.
