Physician Assistant - Pain Management Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations to determine the source and nature of pain conditions.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients, which may include medication management, physical therapy referrals, and alternative pain relief methods.
• Assist in performing clinical procedures and surgical interventions in accordance with established protocols and under the supervision of licensed physicians.
• Educate patients and their families about pain management strategies, treatment options, potential side effects, and preventive care to empower them in their healthcare journey.
• Maintain thorough and accurate medical records utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse patient population experiencing a variety of chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to musculoskeletal disorders, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain management. You will be instrumental in providing holistic care tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances and healthcare needs, thereby significantly enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active state licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and a solid understanding of pain management protocols and treatment methodologies.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a clinical role, preferably within pain management or related specialties.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems, particularly in documenting and managing patient care.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this full-time position ranges from USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
