Work Environment

This position will be located onsite at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center in Albany, New York. The center is equipped with advanced medical technology and facilities designed to support effective pain management interventions. Our collaborative work environment encourages open communication and ongoing professional development, aimed at providing the best possible management of patient care. You will work a consistent schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a work-life balance that allows you to focus on patient care without the distraction of weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant specializing in Pain Management, you will have the following key responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients experiencing various pain conditions and perform routine physical examinations to diagnose and establish treatment protocols.
• Order and interpret imaging studies to aid in accurate diagnosis and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Prescribe appropriate non-narcotic medications and physical therapy regimens while monitoring patient progress and response to treatment.
• Schedule interventional procedures and ensure pre- and post-operative care is accurately managed.
• Maintain meticulous patient records, documenting evaluations, treatment plans, and patient interactions to reflect timely and effective care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation specialists to harmonize patient treatment strategies and optimize outcomes.
• Address any patient concerns or queries promptly to maintain a high level of patient satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily interact with patients experiencing chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to musculoskeletal issues, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain. Our patient population is diverse, requiring a nuanced understanding of different pain syndromes and the psychological impacts of chronic pain. By developing individualized care plans suited to each patient’s unique needs, you will contribute significantly to their pain management journey and overall health outcomes.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must:

• Hold a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related medical field.
• Possess active State licensure as a Physician Assistant, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Exhibit a strong background in pain management practices and concepts, with demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive patient assessments.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with at least three years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, especially with a focus on pain management or related fields. Proficiency in conducting physical examinations, diagnosing illnesses, and developing patient-centered care plans is essential. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with team members.

Compensation and Benefits
