Work Environment

Located in Albany, New York, our Surgical Center provides a collaborative and supportive environment for healthcare professionals. The center operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, fostering a work-life balance that allows our staff to thrive both professionally and personally.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Physician Assistant in Pain Management, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating and diagnosing chronic pain patients through comprehensive assessments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and formulating treatment plans.
• Identifying candidates for interventional pain management procedures and coordinating these complex treatments with the supervising physician.
• Administering chronic medication management, including prescribing medications, educating patients and their families about treatment regimens.
• Consulting regularly with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure the delivery of holistic, high-quality care.
• Performing thorough physical examinations and documenting findings to create detailed patient profiles for ongoing management.
• Managing patient cases from diagnosis through treatment, while continually assessing and adjusting the management plans as new information becomes available.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on patients suffering from chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to arthritis, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain. You will work with a diverse patient population, many of whom may face significant challenges due to their conditions. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of New York.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting, specifically within pain management or a similar specialty.
• Exceptional patient communication skills, capable of breaking down complex medical information into understandable terms.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple patient cases concurrently within a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in a surgical setting or direct involvement with interventional pain management techniques is a plus. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and clinical workflows specific to pain management will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this position includes a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
