Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our modern surgical center in South Bethlehem, creating a collaborative and supportive environment. The center fosters a culture of teamwork, where the medical staff, from physicians to therapists, work closely to provide integrated care. You will engage in a five-day work week, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients presenting with acute and chronic pain, utilizing your expertise to assess conditions accurately.
• Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests to inform treatment decisions.
• Design and implement tailored treatment plans including prescribing non-narcotic medications, ordering physical therapy services, and planning interventional procedures as appropriate.
• Maintain meticulous patient records by updating charts to reflect current findings, treatments administered, and progress made.
• Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns and discussing treatment options in a clear and compassionate manner.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary medical team to ensure consistent delivery of outstanding patient service and high-quality care standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will handle a diverse patient population that includes individuals suffering from conditions such as back pain, arthritis, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain management issues. Your ability to understand their unique challenges and create personalized care solutions will be vital in improving their health outcomes and overall satisfaction with our services.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
• Possession of active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Demonstrated proficiency in conducting comprehensive physical examinations and diagnosing various conditions.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to function independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years of experience in a clinical setting, specifically within pain management or a related specialty, is preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records systems (EMR) and familiarity with pain management protocols will be an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
