Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our hospital facility in South Bethlehem, where you will work alongside a skilled team of healthcare professionals. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life arrangement while contributing to patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic pain conditions, utilizing advanced diagnostic skills and techniques.
• Manage patient care through regular follow-ups, ensuring optimal pain management and addressing any concerns or changes in treatment needs.
• Collaborate closely with case management teams to coordinate discharge planning, ensuring that patients receive appropriate continuity of care post-hospitalization.
• Facilitate timely referrals to specialists and consult with other healthcare providers to create multidisciplinary treatment approaches tailored to individual patient needs.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records that adhere to insurance requirements, promptly addressing any appeals for denied claims to ensure patient access to necessary treatments.
• Participate in inpatient consultations as well as outpatient care, and be available for on-call schedules to provide expertise in pain management as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients seeking relief from various pain-related ailments. This includes individuals experiencing chronic pain due to conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, or post-surgical pain, as well as those suffering from acute pain. You will play a crucial role in understanding patient histories and providing compassionate, individualized treatment plans that address both the physical and emotional aspects of pain management.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies is required.
• Possession of a valid and current Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• A minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience is essential, demonstrating proficiency in the assessment and management of pain-related conditions.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills to effectively liaise with patients and collaborate with a diverse healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
