Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial and ongoing patient assessments, performing physical examinations and collecting detailed medical histories to inform pain management strategies.
• Develop and implement individualized pain management plans in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and therapists, ensuring that treatment is tailored to the unique needs of each resident.
• Administer medications and treatment modalities as prescribed, monitoring patient reactions and adjusting interventions as necessary to optimize efficacy.
• Educate patients and their families about pain management techniques, including medication regimens, lifestyle modifications, and non-pharmacological interventions.
• Utilize electronic health record systems for documentation and to facilitate communication among the healthcare team, ensuring continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families, addressing concerns and enhancing their understanding of pain management options.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary population served includes elderly residents of the assisted living facility, many of whom suffer from chronic pain conditions such as arthritis, neuropathy, and post-operative pain. Qualifications

• Current New York State licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a specialization or relevant certification in pain management.
• A Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a pain management or related healthcare setting, demonstrating a deep understanding of pain assessment and treatment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an assisted living or long-term care facility is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 160,000 annually.
