Full-time Nurse Practitioner for Pain Management

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Pain Management Center at Good Life Medical Clinic in Troy, New York. Work Environment

This role is on-site at our school-based facility, where you will work closely with various healthcare professionals and administrative staff. The clinic's welcoming atmosphere fosters collaboration, patient engagement, and open communication, ensuring our team can effectively address the needs of every patient. You will primarily work Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including obtaining medical histories and performing physical examinations for patients referred by the supervising physician.
• Manage follow-up visits independently while adhering to the clinic’s stringent guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality of care.
• Maintain and update comprehensive patient records during each appointment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Analyze laboratory and diagnostic test data to develop informed recommendations about follow-up appointments and additional treatment options.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans under the supervision of the physician, including continual evaluation and adjustment based on patient responses to treatments.
• Demonstrate a commitment to quality care by meeting all productivity metrics set forth by the organization.
• Act as an educational resource for patients, delivering ongoing information, counseling, and support to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of their treatment options.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will serve a diverse group of patients, including those experiencing acute and chronic pain conditions. Your expertise in pain management will support patients from various backgrounds, aiming to improve their quality of life through informed treatment options, therapies, and follow-up care.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Nurse Practitioner studies from an accredited program is required.
• An active and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York is essential.
• A minimum of two years of experience in pain management or conducting physical examinations is necessary to qualify.
• Strong clinical skills paired with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities are important traits for success in this role.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Practice Management systems to facilitate efficient patient management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, to streamline administrative and documentation tasks.
• A history of working in fast-paced healthcare environments showcasing your adaptability and resourcefulness in patient care delivery.

Compensation and Benefits
