Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient conditions through thorough examinations and medical history review, ensuring each treatment plan is tailored to individual needs.
• Develop and implement personalized rehabilitation programs focused on improving patients' mobility, strength, and overall functional abilities.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and cutting-edge techniques in outpatient orthopedics, with a preference for those knowledgeable in spine therapy.
• Maintain an awareness of patient rights, safety protocols, and sanitation standards, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all individuals.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
• Conduct regular progress evaluations and adjust treatment plans as necessary, utilizing data to inform practice.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions and community health initiatives to promote wellness and education.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily be working with a diverse range of patients recovering from various musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain conditions. This role involves collaborating with patients of all ages, ensuring that each individual receives comprehensive care that respects their unique challenges and goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required. Candidates with a Master's Degree (MSPT) or Doctorate (DPT) and recent graduates (2003 or later) are preferred.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida, with an unblemished record of good standing throughout employment.
• CPR certification required upon hire, with regular updates as mandated.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, with a focus on spine therapy preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health record systems and related software to document patient care effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster professional relationships with patients and collaborative partnerships within the healthcare team.
