Contract | Day/Night Rotating Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit setting
• Monitor and interpret ECG cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Potential to float to additional units to care for the same patient population as needed to meet operational needs
• May be required to care for patients on ventilators
• Rotate between day and night shifts as required by the facility
• Work at least every other holiday as part of scheduling requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry (travel experience may be considered for the recent experience requirement)
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or valid Compact State license in hand at time of submission
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required
• Must achieve acceptable scores on ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed during orientation (maximum of 2 attempts)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 18 months of permanent experience within a single facility location in the specialty
• Prior experience caring for ventilator-dependent patients
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation in an acute care setting
