MARKETING ASSISTANT DESCRIPTION

M-Group seeks a Marketing Assistant to support the Marketing Manager with marketing, business development, and initiative activities, as well as administrative and clerical tasks, including responses to requests for proposals and marketing campaign activities. The Marketing Assistant plays an important role in M-Group's overall business success.

M-Group works together in a hybrid in-person and remote work environment. The person hired will report to our Campbell office three days per week and may work from home two days a week.

MARKETING ASSISTANT Essential Functions

• Creates and edits marketing materials, including responses to proposals, memorandums, marketing resumes, and other materials, using Microsoft Word, Adobe InDesign, and other software tools.
• Assists and maintains social media platforms such as the website, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms, including content creation in each media platform.
• Creates content such as newsletters, flyers, graphics, presentations, and other written materials in support of internal communication and marketing activities.
• Maintains marketing databases and prepares marketing metric reports.
• Assists in the coordination and organization of trade show booths, conferences, and promotional events, including internal staff events.
• Attends trade shows, conferences, and promotional events to educate potential clients regarding M-Group services.
• Conducts marketing research, collects and analyzes marketing data to evaluate marketing effectiveness.
• Performs general administrative and clerical duties and supports the administrative and management team in clerical tasks.
• Collaborates and works closely with the marketing manager to support the successful growth and development of M-Group.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelors degree in marketing or related field; or additional experience commensurate with required education.

Experience:

• 3+ years of marketing experience.

Licenses/Certificates:

• Possession and continued maintenance of a valid class C California drivers license.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills including excellent written grammar.
• Ability to craft clear, engaging marketing content. Skilled at writing material specific to target audience with brand voice.
• Ablilty to prioritize and stay focused without needing day-to-day direction.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools, including Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, social media platforms, and data analysis software.
• Flexibility and willingness to work occasional weekends and travel for business.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to use office equipment such as audiovisual, copy and scan, and other equipment.
• Interested in pursuing a long-term career in Marketing with M-Group.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Acute hearing is required when providing phone and personal customer service.
• The need to move files, paper, books, and documents weighing up to 25 poundsis required.
• Requires occasional evening and or weekend meetings both remotely and in person.
• Requires occasional travel by vehicle, or domestic flight(s) within California.
• Interaction with the public, answering questions efficiently and quickly; ability to respond to complex questions.
• Ability to manage heavy workloads and hectic or fast paced environment with changing priorities.
