The President & Chief Executive Officer provides strategic direction, vision and leadership for members and staff of the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate expertise in strategic planning, membership service and sales, public policy, economic development, finance, and public speaking. The President & CEO will be responsible for operational and fiscal performance, manage current programs while developing new initiatives and partnerships. The President & CEO reports to the Board of Directors, acting through the Board Chair, and operates subject to the Chambers governing documents, Board approved budget policies and delegated authority.

Qualifications: Candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of successful experience in executive management and leadership positions. Experience may be in the private, public or non-profit sector. Candidate should demonstrate a track record of developing growth opportunities in member-based organizations.

Compensation: Base salary is $72,000/year ($6,000 per month). The position is eligible for variable incentive compensation under a Board-approved written incentive plan for growth in the Chamber’s membership. The initial incentive rate is 20% of qualifying collected membership dues at designated

membership and partnership levels subject to plan definitions, exclusions, crediting rules, annual cap, and Board approval. Please do not include prior wage or salary history in application materials.
