BioMechanics Orthopedics Services Inc. is actively seeking a skilled and compassionate full-time Physical Therapist to join our orthopedic outpatient team located in Suffolk, Virginia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for assisting patients in their journey to regain optimal movement and functionality following injuries or surgeries. Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our outpatient office in Suffolk, Virginia. You will work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, within a highly collaborative team atmosphere dedicated to patient-centered care. Our clinic is designed to support optimal healing, featuring modern rehabilitation equipment and a welcoming environment that fosters patient comfort and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the specific needs and goals of each patient.
• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients' movement disorders and physical capabilities.
• Manage a patient schedule that allows for a focused and attentive approach, treating one patient per hour.
• Employ a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities, to enhance recovery.
• Educate patients on techniques to reduce reliance on medications and promote non-surgical options where appropriate.
• Monitor patient progress, documenting services rendered and adjusting treatments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for all patients.
• Provide motivation and support to patients throughout their rehabilitation process, fostering a positive outlook on their recovery journey.
• Promote wellness and preventative strategies through fitness programs tailored to individual patient needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals with private medical insurance, often seeking treatment for orthopedic injuries or post-operative care. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of cases, including sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain management, allowing you to make a significant impact on clients' health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active and unrestricted license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Virginia.
• No history of board actions or disciplinary actions against your licensure.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques.
• Ability to develop effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software, such as WebPT, and the capability to utilize it effectively in daily workflows.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy.
• Knowledge of contemporary rehabilitation practices and evidence-based methodologies.
• Experience working with an EMR system, enhancing the logistics of patient management and documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
