Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist for Home Care Services

We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at Physio Recovery Center, based in Suffolk, Virginia. In this role, you will serve as a crucial partner in the rehabilitation journey for our patients, working diligently to restore their mobility and enhance their overall quality of life. You will be responsible for developing tailored care plans that address each patient's individual needs, focusing on promoting physical wellness through a combination of therapeutic techniques and evidence-based interventions.

Our center is equipped with a state-of-the-art 5,000 square foot sports medicine facility, designed to create an optimal environment for patient recovery and rehabilitation. We primarily serve patients accepted by private medical insurance carriers, facilitating a system aimed at effective therapeutic intervention and consistent patient engagement.

Work Environment

This position is fully onsite, allowing you to work closely with patients in a collaborative and supportive setting. You will be part of a cohesive team consisting of two experienced physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Together, we focus on providing personalized service in a warm, welcoming atmosphere that prioritizes health, positivity, and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and address patients' goals and unique therapeutic needs through comprehensive evaluations.
• Provide hands-on treatment to approximately 2-3 patients every hour, employing a variety of techniques to improve their mobility.
• Implement cost-effective treatment solutions aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and reducing the necessity for pain medications or surgical procedures.
• Develop and monitor individualized care plans, integrating diverse treatment methodologies and community resources to optimize recovery.
• Create personalized fitness and wellness programs, fostering a lifestyle that enhances strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their treatment process, aiming to empower them to achieve their personal best.
• Document all patient care services accurately to ensure continuity and effective communication within the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to devise comprehensive care strategies that support patient recovery.
• Regularly evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to align with evolving recovery goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on patients undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will have experience treating individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions related to musculoskeletal health. By prioritizing a patient-centric approach, you will help individuals regain their functional independence and promote a healthier lifestyle.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• A valid Virginia Physical Therapist License with no board or disciplinary actions.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in therapeutic exercise routines.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as WebPT is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated capability to deliver personalized, evidence-based care to diverse patient demographics.
• Experience in managing case loads effectively while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with your level of experience and expertise.
