Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations through patient interviews, medical history analysis, and clinical assessments to inform effective treatment plans.
• Engage with patients and their families to discuss evaluation results and collaboratively set treatment goals that align with patient needs.
• Implement and modify treatment protocols based on ongoing assessments, ensuring patient-centered care at every stage of the recovery process.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure cohesive patient management.
• Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records and communicate changes in condition to optimize care.
• Facilitate discharge planning and follow-up protocols, ensuring patients are equipped for continued recovery.
• Manage time effectively to meet clinic productivity standards while actively participating in clinic marketing and outreach activities.
• Contribute to departmental goals and ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and accrediting bodies.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education and mentorship, enhancing both personal and departmental expertise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience
