Account Executive/Underwriter, National Accounts

Position Overview The Account Executive (AE), National Accounts, will partner with agents, brokers, and customers to provide guaranteed cost and loss-sensitive coverage for new and renewal business. The role involves managing a book of business, underwriting, negotiating, and maintaining internal and external relationships to drive profitability. Salary and Benefits Salary Range : $99,100.00 – $163,400.00 Target Openings : 1 Benefits include health insurance for employees and eligible family members from day one, a 401(k) with company match up to 5% of pay, a fully funded pension plan, paid time off (minimum 20 days plus nine company holidays), wellness program, paid student loan contributions, and volunteer encouragement programs. Responsibilities Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business. Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability. Build and maintain relationships with internal partners and external partners such as agents, brokers, and customers. Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills. Develop and execute agency and group sales plans. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. 3‑5 years of relevant underwriting experience, preferably in National Accounts. Knowledge of loss‑sensitive products, regulatory environment, and local insurance market. Deep financial acumen and strong critical‑thinking skills in underwriting, marketing, or financial challenges. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. CPCU designation preferred.
