Senior Accountant

Senior AccountantNOW CFO is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Salt Lake City consulting team. As a Senior Accountant consultant, you'll supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day accounting activities, establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information. Day-to-day responsibilities will vary depending on each client's size and needs.To succeed in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience with risk management.Responsibilities:Handle sales tax filings, bank and credit card reconciliations, royalties accounting, and accrualsManage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue RecognitionEstablish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principlesStandardize and maintain a system of accounting records and techniquesSupport month-end and year-end close processes, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulationsServe as primary contact for external auditorsQualifications:Accounting or Finance degree (BS/BA/MBA)Previous experience in accounting management or related fieldsThorough knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles and proceduresStrong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and other advanced spreadsheet functionsStrong leadership, analytical, and critical-thinking skillsClient-focused with excellent written and verbal communication skillsBenefits include:Health, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off401(k)
