Occupational Therapist School Setting in Mchenry, IL

This full-time position (35 hours per week) offers the chance to support students ages 5 through 10, helping them develop essential skills in both academic and daily life settings.


You'll work within a collaborative environment, providing individualized and group therapy services designed to foster student growth and participation. Your background in school-based, healthcare, or home health occupational therapy will be key as you assess student needs, develop treatment plans, and engage with teachers and families to maximize outcomes throughout the 2026/2027 school year.


Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current OT licensure in Illinois
• Experience in school, home health, or pediatric healthcare settings
• Strong evaluation, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload of children ages 5-10
• Flexibility, adaptability, and collaborative approach to working with colleagues, families, and administration

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy to students based on IEP goals and established treatment plans
• Complete assessments and reevaluations as needed for eligibility and progress monitoring
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development
• Document services, progress, and outcomes in compliance with school policies and regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal planning
