Job Description The University of Nevada, Lake Tahoe campus is recruiting for an Assistant Executive Chef. Responsible for supporting successful operations in The Social House, Catering Events, Coffee venue service, and all Community engagement events. Working closely with the Executive Chef to ensure quality products are served and guest’s expectations are fulfilled. Assisting with ordering all goods and services necessary to the operation. Assisting with inventory control and product rotation. Maintaining all equipment and physical assets. Production and execution of food and beverage. Ensuring all health code standards are upheld and followed. Required Qualifications High school diploma and three years of related work experience. Associate’s degree and two years of related work experience. Bachelor’s degree and one year of related work experience. Master’s degree and no work experience required. Related experience: Experience with menu planning and implementation, event management, supervision of line/prep cooks, or similar work. Certification or licensures required: TAM (Techniques of Alcohol Management) or equivalent; ServSafe Certification or equivalent. Compensation Grade: Administrative Faculty - A.
