Our Editorial team works closely with colleagues in Client Services, Copy, Strategy, Creative, Studio, and Document Systems to ensure that the materials delivered by Cognite achieve consistently high standards of quality and accuracy . Our UK- and US-based editors allow us to provide a trusted, responsive service for clients in both time zones. We are now looking for a US-based Senior Editor to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is driven to go the extra mile for our clients. You will be responsible for: Carrying out a range of editorial tasks (including cold reads, must match reads, and checking client and internal changes) and using the appropriate tools to mark up both print and digital projects Creating, maintaining, and applying editorial style sheets for assigned accounts Reviewing the work of other editors (freelance and staff) Collaborating with other teams within the agency to understand upcoming needs, prioritize tasks in hand, and ensure that work is completed to deadline Advocating for quality at all times and applying sound editorial judgement when demanding timelines require prioritisation Staying up to date on pharmaceutical industry codes of compliance and developments in language to ensure our materials meet the needs of different audiences Participating in the delivery of internal training and onboarding We believe that the right person for this role will have: At least 5 years’ experience in a fast-paced healthcare/medical communications agency Experience of editing promotional and educational materials for HCP and DTC audiences Knowledge of FDA regulations for promotional materials regarding fair balance and safety Familiarity with the AMA Manual of Style Confidence editing in both US English and UK English, with the ability to maintain the same high standard in each Proficiency in the use of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Cognite’s agency values—Everyone matters; Science at the heart; Entrepreneurial Mindset; True partners; and Doing the right thing—shape how we work every day.
