Service Writer

Service Writer USA:TX:Grand Prairie | Shop & Field Service Support | Full-Time Summary: The Service Writer will be responsible for responding to internal and external customer inquiries regarding rotating equipment repairs and service work, obtaining parts lists, serial records, IO&M manuals, etc. for our service technicians Checking availability of stock and shipping dates, quoting prices, creating orders to customer specifications and processing sales data via computer and assisting the Outside Sales by preparing price quotes and sourcing products. Responsibilities Responding to internal and external customer inquiries regarding rotating equipment repairs and service work. Obtaining parts lists, serial records, IO&M manuals, etc. for our service technicians Checking availability of stock and shipping dates Quoting prices, creating orders to customer specifications and processing sales data via computer Assisting the Outside Sales by preparing price quotes and sourcing products Qualifications Pump/rotating equipment knowledge or mechanical aptitude a plus Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word and Excel) Prior inside sales/customer service experience a plus Ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment Must have friendly, positive, enthusiastic attitude with willingness to learn Must have and demonstrate a customer focus and customer driven attitude Must be able to work independently while functioning within a team environment Must have excellent oral and written communication skills Must be able to read and interpret manufacturer instruction manuals and equipment bill of materials Must be willing to learn and develop Additional Information Physical Demand: N/A Working Conditions: Office Environment and occasional shop Training/Certifications: N/A Shift Time/Overtime: Normal in-person business hours Monday-Friday, (8)am-(5)pm Travel: N/A Education: High School diploma. Some college preferred
