Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Psych Sonic, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive diagnostic screenings of patients through evidence-based assessments and tools to identify their unique needs.

• Documenting assessment findings and interventions accurately and in a timely manner in patients' medical records, ensuring compliance with best practices and legal requirements.

• Facilitating individual, group, and family counseling sessions, developing a therapy plan that addresses the diverse challenges faced by clients and their families.

• Coordinating family visitation and resource referrals to ensure that clients have a robust support system outside of therapy.
\n
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers to create integrated care plans, making recommendations and referrals as required.

• Regularly conducting safety and risk assessments to identify potential issues and develop appropriate risk management strategies.

• Providing psychoeducation and resources to clients' family members, enhancing their understanding of the treatment process and encouraging effective support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including children across various developmental stages, adolescents facing challenges associated with identity, peer relationships, and mental health disorders, as well as adults dealing with complex psychological issues. We treat a variety of conditions including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and behavioral issues, using tailored therapeutic approaches suited to the specific needs of each population.

Qualifications\n

The following qualifications are essential for the Licensed Mental Health Counselor position:

• A Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A valid and active LMHC license to practice independently in Washington State.

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in providing mental health counseling or psychotherapy.
