The Child Care Program Office (CCP) is currently accepting applications for an Analyst II/Analyst I within the Legislative Policy Unit. Under the general direction of the Supervisor I, the Analyst II/Analyst I will provide information and training to the licensed Child Care community, parents, and the public, and serve as a subject matter expert to the CCLD in carrying out statutorily mandated activities.

This is a 12-month limited term position and may be extended to a maximum of 24-months and/or may become permanent based on operational needs.

Working Conditions
This is position is a hybrid position.

This position may be eligible for Hybrid work. In-person attendance is required based on the operational needs of the position and in accordance with Executive Order N-22-25 the Statewide Hybrid Telework Policy, Government Code section 14200, and any applicable department telework requirements. The successful candidate must reside in California at the time of appointment. Proof of California residency may be required .


Please note: Regular commute is not compensable.

Working conditions include use of a computer for several hours a day which involves sitting most of the time but may include walking or standing for brief periods. Attend meetings, workshops and training associated with job duties. Work hours and schedules may vary. Must be able to travel to all parts of California.


The reporting work location for this position is the CDSS headquarters building at 744 P Street, centrally located in the downtown area of Sacramento, CA. The building features an on-site gym and a child care center. There are also nearby parking options as well as many restaurants and eateries in the surrounding area.
