Spyglass Talent Solutions, a retained recruitment firm based in Raleigh, NC, has been engaged by a well-established restoration company based in Central North Carolina to conduct a search for a Business Development Representative.

The Business Development Representative will serve as the proactive pulse of the company, conducting regular in-person referral partner visits on a weekly route to key contacts such as insurance agents. The role is responsible for establishing contact with individuals and organizations to develop relationships, build trust, and deliver presentations that lead to referrals from new and existing customers, ensuring the company is the first call when property damage strikes.

Key Responsibilities

·      Identify and develop new referral sources, including insurance agents and other key contacts

·      Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly business development routes with clear goals to ensure consistent visibility throughout the firm’s service area

·      Deliver presentations, such as Lunch and Learns, and gain commitment from new referral partners

·      Maintain phone and in-person contact with existing referral partners, providing project updates and following up throughout projects

·      Assist in development of marketing and promotional materials, programs, and events, including support for the firm’s digital marketing strategies

·      Participate in industry-related networking organizations, trade shows, and community events to connect with new referral partners

·      Represent the firm in meetings, events, and community organizations

·      Track daily activities, relationships, and follow-ups in CRM software

·      Attend weekly business development team meetings and complete weekly reports and scorecard metrics

Qualifications

·      High school diploma or GED required; degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred

·      Two (2) to four (4) years of business development experience

·      Natural relationship builder who genuinely enjoys connecting with people and staying in touch

·      Self-starter with an ownership mentality; takes initiative and manages time effectively

·      Confident communicator, comfortable engaging one-on-one or presenting to a group

·      Persistent and patient, with an understanding that relationships take time to develop

·      Tech-savvy and comfortable with digital communication and productivity tools, including CRM, Canva, and Google Suite; curious and eager to leverage AI tools to increase efficiency

·      Clean criminal background and driving record; able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
