Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Current, valid Special Education Teacher license for the state of Michigan
• Experience in middle and/or high school special education settings preferred

• Organization and flexibility to manage a varied caseload of 7th-12th grade students
• Preparedness to commit to the full 2026-2027 academic year
• Openness to working in a contract, travel-friendly environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instructional strategies and resources in alignment with individual education plans (IEPs)
• Develop, write, and implement accommodations to address diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with fellow special education staff, general education teachers, and support personnel
• Track student progress, update documentation, and participate in IEP meetings as required
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment for all learners
• Maintain clear communication with families and guardians regarding student goals and achievements
