Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing therapists to conduct assessments and sessions from their chosen location while staying connected to supportive colleagues through virtual meetings and team collaborations. Your work schedule will typically be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., giving you a structured routine to effectively manage your client engagements and administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will have a wide range of responsibilities aimed at delivering high-quality care to your clients:

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity and duration of mood disorder symptoms for each client.

• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs, goals, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address various mental health challenges.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies to facilitate recovery.

• Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, to ensure the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care.

• Stay current with the latest research and developments in the field of mental health to continually enhance treatment delivery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be assisting individuals coping with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will work with diverse client groups, including those experiencing homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, ensuring that each individual feels supported and valued throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field, is essential.
