Activities Assistant Parttime

We’re looking for a Part-time Activities Assistant (Memory care) to join our team! Want a job that makes a difference in the lives of our elderly community? a fun and rewarding job that helps foster a positive atmosphere through leisure activities? Come help The Activities Director meet the spiritual, cultural, physical, intellectual, and social needs of our residents both inside and outside the community. Essential Functions: Support the mission, vision, and culture of the organization. Perform activities on schedule while maintaining regular attendance and punctuality. Promote resident’s attendance at events and activities Assist with planning and implementing events and activities. Assist with group activities, sing-a-longs, and exercise classes Conduct activity programs as assigned. Assist residents with gardening projects. Assist with decorations for holidays and special occasions. Skills Experience in activities with seniors who have dementia or in a senior retirement community Memory care experience Great organization, planning, and engaging/re-directing seniors Great energy and kindness Operate a VCR, DVD, and stereo system. High School diploma or equivalent certificate Must possess valid First Aid Certification Work Schedule: Sunday- Monday 8:30 am- 4:00 pm EEOC Statement: The above statements are intended to be a general description.
