About the Role

The Company is in search of a President & Chief Executive Officer to lead its mission of reducing food insecurity. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic leadership, operational oversight, and external influence, serving as the primary link between the Board of Directors and the organization. This role requires a visionary and creative leader with a graduate degree in a related field, or equivalent experience, and a minimum of 7 years' in nonprofit management and leadership. The CEO will be tasked with keeping the Board informed on significant issues, communicating effectively about food security trends, and representing the organization in various forums. Building and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of partners, including government, philanthropy, and the private sector, is essential. Key responsibilities for the CEO include financial management, fostering a culture of collaboration and respect, and ensuring the organization operates in compliance with legal and ethical standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in long-range planning, organizational development, and staff supervision, with a proven track record of securing diverse and sustainable funding. They should be a critical thinker, detail-oriented, and able to motivate others in a highly collaborative environment. The role also involves overseeing the development and implementation of policies and procedures, as well as aligning operational practices with the organization's strategic priorities. A servant leadership style, characterized by active listening and a focus on the best interests of the community and the mission, is highly valued.
