Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each individual's trauma history, leading to tailored treatment approaches.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in your practice.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, to deliver integrated, holistic care for our clients.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and emotional stability.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a therapist at Wisdom Within, you will work primarily with individuals who are trauma survivors, including but not limited to those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role is crucial in providing a supportive environment that allows patients to mobilize their strengths and build resilience. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting preferred.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach towards clients.

• Resilience under stress, with the ability to maintain a calm demeanor in challenging situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
