Experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal

Horton, Oberrecht & Kirkpatrick, a civil defense law firm, is seeking a motivated, self-sufficient, experienced civil litigation Paralegal with at least five years of civil litigation experience for its Downtown San Diego office. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who requires little supervision, has thorough knowledge of reviewing and summarizing medical records, issuing subpoenas for records, and assisting with trial preparation. Hybrid schedule available.

Skills/Qualifications required:

* 5+ years of civil litigation paralegal experience preferred

* Experience in reviewing and summarizing medical records and document production

* Experience in preparing comprehensive medical chronologies and Howell analysis

* Computer skills and typing 60+ wpm

* Strong skills editing and finalizing written documents

* Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high quality work product

* Ability to keep up in a fast-paced work environment

* Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved institution
