Work Environment

This position is primarily based onsite, as you will be traveling to clients' homes throughout Cypress, Florida. Key Responsibilities

As a Home-Based Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Directing physical therapy treatment focusing on pain relief, muscle function improvement, and disability prevention, aligning with the established plan of care.
• Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) to ensure they implement therapy plans accurately and safely.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of clients' functional abilities through diagnostic tests to tailor treatment strategies accordingly.
• Assessing each client's home environment and recommending modifications to enhance their independence and ability to perform daily activities.
• Providing hands-on physical therapy services and educating clients and their families on exercise routines and therapeutic devices.
• Preparing thorough clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in alignment with compliance standards.
• Participating in team meetings and case conferences to collaboratively revise care plans based on patient progress.
• Maintaining open communication with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care delivery.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A bachelor's degree in physical therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current PT license in good standing in the state of Florida.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license along with reliable transportation and automobile insurance.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

• At least one year of experience working as a Physical Therapist in acute care or home care settings.
