Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing, implementing, and modifying individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and physician prescriptions.
• Directing and mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and standards while providing quality care.
• Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate patients' functional capabilities, utilizing various diagnostic tests to inform treatment strategies.
• Providing therapeutic exercises and instruction, ensuring active patient participation in their rehabilitation processes.
• Administering modalities such as traction, massage, and other physical agents to facilitate recovery.
• Fitting and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices, offering recommendations for modifications as necessary.
• Participating actively in the creation and modification of comprehensive care plans during interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Tracking patients' progress and status changes, maintaining precise documentation through clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Instructing and consulting with patients and their families about their therapy objectives, care devices, and overall health strategies.
• Ensuring timely submission of orders and documentation in adherence to company policies.

In this role, you will primarily serve clients requiring orthopedic rehabilitation, aiming to help them regain mobility and functional independence post-injury or surgery. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current PT license in good standing in Virginia.
• CPR certification and valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to foster relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
• A deep commitment to clinical excellence, quality care, and continuous improvement in patient experience.
• Creative problem-solving abilities and the capability to make comprehensive assessments and decisions regarding patient care.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of experience as a practicing physical therapist is required, candidates with experience in home health or community-based settings will be prioritized. Compensation and Benefits
