Work Environment

The position is primarily an onsite role, where you'll deliver care directly in patients' homes, allowing for a personalized and intimate approach to rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians to create customized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions across a range of specialties, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases.
• Provide skilled therapeutic care that aligns with the physician's plan of care to ensure effective recovery and rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes through integrated care strategies.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, documenting outcomes effectively and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate and train patients and their caregivers on injury prevention, rehabilitation techniques, and home exercise programs.
• Strive to exceed minimum utilization and quality goals set to maintain organizational effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will work primarily with individuals recovering from musculoskeletal injuries and surgeries, as well as those managing chronic pain. Additionally, you may serve pediatric patients with developmental and orthopedic challenges. By building strong therapeutic relationships, you will play a pivotal role in helping patients regain their function and mobility, thus enabling them to lead fulfilling lives.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program.
• Active and unrestricted state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Certification in Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for patient interactions and teamwork.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems and basic computer skills.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy setting is highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
