Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments to evaluate patients' physical conditions and needs, adhering to established standards of practice and state regulations.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluations, setting realistic, measurable goals for improvement in mobility, strength, and overall function.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and modern techniques to carry out patient treatment, continuously adjusting care plans in response to patient progress and feedback.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with facility and legal requirements.
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, collaborating with healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care for each patient.
• Engage in professional development activities, such as workshops and courses, to advance your skills and stay informed on the latest advancements in physical therapy.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in patient homes, ensuring the use of equipment is both effective and safe.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist for PT Plus, you will be working primarily with individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and age-related mobility issues. Our diverse patient population ranges from young athletes to older adults, each requiring a tailored approach to restore function and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required; a Master's or Doctorate degree is preferred.
• An active Physical Therapy license in Virginia, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including competency in using an AED.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with patients of varying ages and backgrounds.
• Empathy and patience, essential for motivating patients and supporting them through challenging rehabilitation processes.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy practice, with a focus on orthopedic cases.
• Proven ability to develop and execute evidence-based treatment plans and adjust strategies based on individual patient needs and progress.
• Experience with home health services and understanding of the logistics involved in providing care in non-clinical settings.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 , based on experience and qualifications.
