Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will have a diverse range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive patient evaluations, which include collecting pertinent medical histories, performing physical assessments, and synthesizing this information to develop effective treatment plans.
• Communicating evaluation findings and the proposed treatment plan clearly to both patients and their families, ensuring their active involvement in goal-setting processes.
• Executing treatment protocols that are individualized based on patient assessments, presenting conditions, and evolving healthcare best practices.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to adapt the plan of care as necessary and addressing any changes in the patient's condition that may require medical or rehabilitation referrals.
• Overseeing discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring that documentation is thorough, accurate, and compliant with both clinical and regulatory standards, including discharge evaluations and interim progress summaries.
• Maintaining effective time management to meet productivity standards and taking the initiative in marketing activities that showcase our services within the community.
• Contributing to departmental goals by participating in team efforts to improve workflow and patient accessibility, including removing barriers to care associated with scheduling and treatment access.
• Serving as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students, guiding them in practical settings while promoting their learning and professional development.
