About the Organization

Locomotion Restore is a reputable physical therapy practice specializing in orthopedic outpatient care. Located in a state-of-the-art 5,000 square foot sports medicine facility, our organization is dedicated to providing high-quality rehabilitation services to patients with private medical insurance. Our team comprises two experienced physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), collaborating closely to deliver exceptional patient care and outcomes.

Work Environment

Our onsite rehabilitation facility fosters a supportive and dynamic work environment. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life synergy. Key Responsibilities

• Assess individual patient needs and establish personalized treatment goals that meet their unique requirements.
• Maintain a manageable patient load of one individual per hour to ensure quality attention and care.
• Draw on your experience within orthopedic outpatient care to design effective treatment programs aimed at improving patients' motion and mobility.
• Implement non-surgical and cost-effective strategies that reduce reliance on medications and encourage patient engagement in their healing process.
• Create and manage comprehensive care plans utilizing diverse treatment techniques, adapting to patient progress as necessary.
• Develop tailored fitness and wellness programs to meet the specific demands of each patient, enhancing their overall health and functionality.
• Provide consistent, evidence-based treatments that align with best practices in physical therapy.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, instilling confidence in their abilities to achieve functional improvements.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle, focusing on strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination to facilitate recovery.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care and treatment strategies.
• Conduct evaluations of treatment efficacy, closely monitoring progress while maintaining clear communication with patients and colleagues.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment services using EMR Software, including WebPT to maintain accurate health records.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adult patients dealing with musculoskeletal and orthopedic challenges. By understanding the complexities of their conditions, you will tailor your interventions to address pain management, rehabilitation, and the restoration of functional mobility. Our diverse patient base consists mainly of individuals with private medical insurance, allowing for a wide range of treatments and therapies.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• An active and valid Physical Therapist license in Virginia is mandatory.
• No history of board actions or disciplinary measures on your license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques is essential.
• Experience in designing and executing customized exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with EMR software, especially WebPT, is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
