Work Environment

The work setting at Amarante Orthopedic Clinic is strictly onsite, allowing for close collaboration with fellow healthcare professionals. You will be part of a dedicated team comprising one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) and two licensed physical therapists. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a stable routine while allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to determine the needs and rehabilitation goals of patients.
• Design and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient requirements, drawing from various therapeutic techniques.
• Evaluate and monitor patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Provide hands-on manual therapy, utilizing skills to alleviate pain and enhance functionality.
• Educate patients on exercises and wellness strategies to improve their strength, flexibility, coordination, and overall health.
• Encourage patients through their rehabilitation journey, motivating them to achieve their highest potential.
• Collaborate with other healthcare specialists to ensure comprehensive care and effective patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records via electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as WebPT.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Virginia Physical Therapist license, ensuring compliance with state regulations and practices.
• Proven track record with no board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescriptions relevant to orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems such as WebPT, enabling efficient documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience in an orthopedic outpatient clinic setting, showcasing familiarity with common musculoskeletal disorders.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively connect with patients and collaborate with team members.
• Ability to handle a patient workload of approximately two to three patients per hour while maintaining high-quality care standards.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
