Work Environment

This full-time position requires the physical therapist to work onsite in the Ocoee, Florida area, focusing on home care settings. Here, therapists will engage directly with patients in their living environments, enhancing the therapeutic experience and facilitating easier transition from clinical to home-based rehabilitation. The work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while making a significant impact in patients' recovery journeys.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting in-depth evaluations of patients presenting with orthopedic injuries and conditions, assessing their physical function, pain levels, and rehabilitation needs.
• Developing personalized treatment plans that align with the individual's health goals, taking into account their unique circumstances and rehabilitation progress.
• Implementing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and various modalities to optimize recovery and enhance the patient's comfort.
• Monitoring patient progress through regular assessments, and modifying treatment strategies as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
• Educating patients about injury prevention and rehabilitation techniques, such as home exercise programs, to promote long-term health and well-being.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists and physicians, to provide holistic and comprehensive care.
• Maintaining meticulous and up-to-date patient records in compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role will be on patients suffering from orthopedic conditions, which may include post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain issues. The therapist will work closely with diverse populations, primarily within the home environment, ensuring that care is accessible and tailored to the needs of each patient, contributing to more effective recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required; candidates with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy (MPT) will be preferred.
• An active Physical Therapist (PT) license issued by the state of Florida is necessary.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience in areas such as orthopedics, geriatrics, acute care, and outpatient settings.
• Demonstrated proficiency in orthopedic assessment, therapeutic treatment modalities, and patient care planning.
• Strong communication abilities and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and foster relationships with patients.
• The capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment that prioritizes patient-centered care and continuous improvement.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in home care settings or familiarity with home-based rehabilitation.
• Practice in managing a caseload of patients with diverse needs, tailoring approaches to fit individual circumstances.
• Skills in utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems to efficiently document patient interactions and treatment progress.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 90,000 and 120,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
