Our Retail organization sells annuity products to customers while providing organic growth for Talcott. The selected candidate will deliver superior customer service to our valued customers, contract owners and financial advisors. Additionally, they will execute customer requests and educate partners on our annuity products. The selected talent will also support agent onboarding, annuity policy issuance, money movement, handling inbound customer calls and the processing written requests. This role can work as a hybrid arrangement in our Hartford, CT. office. Remote work will also be considered. Additionally, this role will require 10% travel yearly to our Hartford, CT. office. Selected work hours for this position will be 9:30 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. eastern time.Responsibilities:Demonstrate professional diplomacy and deliver a positive customer service experience for inbound calls with our customers, contract owners and financial advisorsSuccessfully execute customer requests while navigating a fast-paced structured environmentSupport the processing of written requests ad hocDemonstrate active listening and critical thinking skills to quickly assess the customers' request and leverage online resources to provide an appropriate solutionQualifications:Note* This position may be filled as either a Sr. Service Specialist or Service Consultant commensurate with a candidate's expertise.Senior Service Specialist Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience in the financial services industryWorking knowledge of annuities, 401k products, life insurance, mutual funds or stock market activityDemonstrated experience navigating multiple applications and dual monitorsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenDemonstrated capacity to develop positive and productive customer relationshipsAbility to multi-task (type and talk at the same time while navigating through multiple screens)Proven success working in a fast-paced and structured environmentAbility to navigate multiple programs and effectively use online resourcesKnowledge of PEGA, FAST, Hexure, and FireLight is a plus!Service Consultant Qualifications:Minimum of 4 years of customer service experience in the financial services industryExpert knowledge of annuities, 401k products and life insurance productsDemonstrated experience navigating multiple applications and dual monitorsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenDemonstrated capacity to develop positive and productive customer relationshipsAbility to multi-task (type and talk at the same time while navigating through multiple screens)Proven success working in a fast-paced and structured environmentAbility to navigate multiple programs and effectively use online resourcesExperience with PEGA, FAST, Hexure, and FireLight is a plusCompensation:This range represents the minimum and maximum annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range. The base pay is based on factors including but not limited to experience, competence, and demonstration of proficiencies essential for the role. The base pay is just one component of Talcott's total annual compensation for employees.
