More than anything we embrace a straightforward approach to getting things done. We are fanatical about our customers: and when talent meets passion, success happens.
This is a hybrid role in Denver. We are based downtown and the position requires you to be in the office three days a week.
The Opportunity
You're joining our Revenue team as a Business Development Representative (BDR). Here's what that actually means: you will find high-potential prospects, start real conversations with them, understand their specific problems, and pass them to an Account Executive (AE) when they're ready for the next conversation.
This is not copy-paste email spam. It's not hoping someone replies. It's targeted, strategic, and it works.
You'll use buyer intent datacompanies that are actively growing, hiring, or expanding their operations. You'll combine that with research, personalization, and a clear point of view about what they should care about. You'll make calls. You'll write emails that get read. You'll build relationships with senior leaders at your target companies. Your job ends when you've qualified the opportunity and passed it cleanly to an Account Executive. Their job starts from there.
What Makes This Different
You're not just a rep - you're building a career.
This role exists because sales is a skill you can learn. It has frameworks. It has patterns. It has a path from BDR to AE to sales leadership. We've promoted BDRs into full-cycle AE roles. We've seen them move to GTM leadership. That happens because the foundation matters. We're deliberate about building it.
You'll work directly with our Account Executive team and sales leadership. You'll see how deals develop. You'll understand why some conversations convert and others don't. You'll learn discovery techniques, objection handling, negotiationthe stuff that matters in full-cycle sales. This is apprenticeship.
You're selling something real.
Your target audience is Operations leaders: VPs of Operations, Directors of Project Delivery, Agency Owners, Chief Operating Officers. These people are bleeding money when they don't know utilization, when resources are double-booked, when projects slip. You're not selling them "better project management." You're showing them how to see margin data they've never had before. That's a different conversation. It's higher stakes. It's worth their time.
You have tools that work.
You won't be dialing blind in 2026. You'll use intent data (HubSpot, ZoomInfo) to find companies in growth mode. You'll track engagement signalswho opened emails, who visited the site, who moved to a new role. You'll work with real buying signals. The modern stack works when you use it right.
Responsibilities
- Targeted outreach. Use intent data and research to identify accounts worth pursuing. Write emails and make calls that sound like a person, not a template. Follow up with persistence and precision.
- Discovery and qualification. When someone picks up, conduct a real conversation. Understand their operation, their challenges around profitability and delivery, whether we're a fit. You're not checking boxes. You're qualifying.
- AE partnership. Work directly with your assigned Account Executive to build territory plans, align on priorities, and run smooth handoffs. A qualified meeting is only qualified if the AE agrees.
- Signal interpretation. You're an early sensor for the business. When you hear the same objection from five prospects, we need to know. When a competitor lands two accounts in your territory, tell us. When a company responds to cold outreach but ghosts after discovery, we learn from that too.
- Data discipline. HubSpot is the source of truth. Activity logging, deal tracking, forecast accuracy. It's not busyworkclean data is how we know whether the motion is working.
Requirements
You don't need 1+ years of sales experience. We'd love it. But we're not gatekeeping the role behind years of pedigree. We're looking for aptitude. We're looking for people who are:
- Genuinely curious about business. You want to understand how companies work. How do agencies make money? Why is margin protection hard? Where do projects go sideways? You're not satisfied with surface answers. That curiosity is how you go from reading a prospect's website to asking the right question on the call.
- Smart about communication. You don't need a gift for gab. You need to think before you speak. Write clearly. Read a room. Know when to move forward and when to pause. Understand that a ten-second pause on a call is often more powerful than another pitch. This is learnable. We'll teach it.
- Resilient and unsentimental about rejection. Cold outreach has a failure rate. That's not a bug, it's the model. You'll reach out to 100 people. Ten will reply. Three will take a call. One might become an opportunity. That's success. You don't take it personally. You ask: what would change the ratio? Then you adjust. You try again. You're not looking for permission.
- Growth-minded. You're here to learn. That means feedback hits different for you. When a call doesn't go well, you want to know why. When an AE tells you your discovery questions are surface-level, you think: how do I go deeper next time? You're not defensive. You're not done learning.
- Comfortable with tools. We use HubSpot, ZoomInfo, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator. You don't need to be an expert. But you need to be the kind of person who doesn't shy away from software. You pick it up. You get comfortable with it. You use it as leverage, not a distraction.
- We care about these things more than your last title or years of experience.
What Good Looks Like
- Hunger without anxiety. You want to succeed. You want to hit the meetings number. You're not casual about it. But you're not catastrophizing either. You know the funnel works when you work the funnel.
- Coachability over polish. Your first call will be rough. That's normal. You'll record it on Gong. You'll listen to it with your AE. You'll hear the places you talked too much, asked the wrong question, missed a signal. You'll adjust. That loop repeating is how you improve.
- Writing clarity. Outreach is writing-heavy in the first touch. Your emails need to be clear, concise, personalized. No fluff. You can write because you think first. That's the whole game.
- Persistence with pattern recognition. You're not giving up after one email. You're also not doing the same thing five times. You send version A, you get low reply rate, you send version B. You test. You analyze. You iterate.
