Our organization is on the lookout for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Critical Care Cardiologist Physician to join the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute. Recognized as a national and global frontrunner in advanced heart failure, cardiac transplantation, and the management of cardiogenic shock, we proudly hold the highest 90-day heart transplant survival rate in the United States. We are seeking a highly skilled cardiologist for a full-time, non-tenure clinical track role.

Location

This position is situated at UPMC Presbyterian, specifically in the newly constructed Kamin Tower, located in the vibrant Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to critically ill cardiovascular patients within a high-acuity Cardiac Critical Care Unit.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage complex cardiovascular conditions, including but not limited to:
  • Advanced heart failure
  • Cardiogenic shock
  • Acute myocardial infarction (MI)
  • Mechanical circulatory support
  • Complications related to structural heart disease
• Engage in clinical research initiatives.
• Participate in the education and mentorship of fellows and residents, reinforcing our commitment to patient-centered, team-based care.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Cardiovascular Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.
