Role Description: The Agency Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in St. Louis, MO, responsible for driving growth and performance within a designated sales territory. This role focuses on recruiting, onboarding, and developing a diverse team of sales professionals, providing coaching, training, and regular performance feedback to support their success. The Agency Development Manager builds and maintains strong relationships with local businesses, brokers, and community partners to expand market presence and generate new opportunities. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting and monitoring sales goals, leading team meetings, conducting field visits and joint sales calls, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The role also involves collaborating with internal partners on marketing initiatives, enrollment strategies, and process improvements to enhance the experience of clients, policyholders, and the sales team. Qualifications Proven experience in sales leadership, agency management, or business development, ideally within insurance, financial services, or a related industry. Strong skills in team building, coaching, and performance management, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse group of sales professionals. Demonstrated success in prospecting, relationship management, and account development with employers, brokers, or community organizations. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex benefit solutions in clear, accessible language. Solid organizational and planning abilities, including goal setting, pipeline management, and the use of CRM or similar tools to track activity and results. Comfortable working in a results-oriented environment, with a focus on meeting or exceeding sales and growth targets while upholding ethical standards. Knowledge of voluntary benefits, group insurance, or employee benefits is preferred; willingness to learn and pursue relevant licenses is required. Active state insurance licenses (or the ability to obtain them within a defined timeframe).
