Business Development Manager
Location: Rockville, Maryland
Type: Direct Hire
Work Model: Hybrid onsite and remote
Responsibilities
- Drive new revenue by identifying, qualifying, and securing IT staffing and consulting opportunities
- Build and manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring consistent growth and long-term retention
- Expand existing client relationships through deeper account penetration and additional staffing needs
- Proactively prospect new clients and contacts to increase System One's market presence
- Maintain regular communication with clients to anticipate hiring demand and workforce needs
- Deliver virtual, phone, and in-person presentations tailored to client objectives
- Collaborate closely with recruiting and delivery teams to ensure strong execution and client satisfaction
- Stay informed on IT staffing market trends to support strategic sales efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 3+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, preferably in IT staffing or consulting
- Proven ability to prospect, build relationships, and close new business
- Familiarity with CRM and sales tools such as Bullhorn and ZoomInfo preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts while maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
