This position offers a remote work setting while also allowing you to conduct evaluations and therapy sessions via telehealth or in our outpatient office located in San Antonio. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as needed based on patient demands. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, taking into careful consideration the unique experiences and challenges faced by older adults.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect the complexities of cognitive and physical health in geriatric populations.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, conducting individual and family therapy sessions aimed at addressing and resolving psychiatric conditions specific to older patients.

• Collaborate actively with geriatric psychiatrists and a team of healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic, integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support, ensuring patients receive immediate assistance during mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health diagnoses, treatment methodologies, and local resources to support ongoing care.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA and professional standards.

• Engage thoughtfully in team meetings, case discussions, and professional development initiatives.

• Continuously update skills and knowledge through research, training, and participation in industry-related activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with the geriatric population, which presents unique mental health challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a nationally accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Texas.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience in mental health counseling, particularly with older adult clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
